Girona celebrates in October the fairs and festivals of St. Narcissus, patron saint of the city. During this festival the city organizes cultural and play activities, the trade fair of handicrafts and paintings, and concerts.

In May there takes place the exposition “Girona, Temps de flors” (Girona, Time of flowers). This is a recent exposition with a very important promotional, tourist and commercial character. The whole town throws itself into decorating the balconies, and the stately houses are opened for flower expositions designed by various visual creators (decorators, architects, interior designers, florists …)
